Common Hormone Imbalance Symptoms

It’s a frustrating feeling when you’re being told you’re not quite classified as “officially” low or high in one hormone or another…

but yet you’re feeling all of the symptoms.

In my mind, our bodies are different. So, for one woman dealing with lower estrogen and feeling no symptoms may be catastrophically different to another woman who is feeling ALL of the symptoms.

So, while I advise you to always speak with your doctor and get the blood tests done that you feel in your gut you need done, here are some common symptoms of hormonal imbalances:

  • Too Little Estrogen: brain fog, depression, headaches, fatigue

  • Too Little Progesterone: anxiety, insomnia, irritability

  • Too Much Testosterone: acne + oily skin, hair loss, sleep problems

  • Too Much / Prolonged Cortisol: Wired + tired, sugar cravings, low libido, increased cravings

  • Too Little Thyroid: sensitivity to cold, brain fog, muscle aches

  • Too Much Estrogen: bloating, mood swings, heavy periods, weight gain around hips + thighs

  • Too Much Progesterone: depression, low sex drive, depression, bloating + weight gain

What speaks the most to you?
